Where you should be positioned on a wave during your noserides
Alright, so we’ve talked about some nice high-level concepts around surfing, longboarding, & noseriding in particular, but over the next few weeks we’re going to zoom in a bit where I’ll try to break down some of these general concepts into smaller bite-sized pieces that can hopefully be applied to your surfing.
Continuing with the topic of noseriding, the first thing I want to share is where you should be positioned on a wave during your noseride:
👉 You want to be in a relatively steep section in the middle to upper part of the wave. Not too steep or your board will “fall out” of the wave and not too soft or you’ll nosedive.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is where you want to be while you’re noseriding. So if you’re already here before you work your way up to the nose, it’s too late as you will no longer be in position when you get there!
Make sense?
Ok so now that you know where you need to be, how do you get there?
Well, remember in last week’s post about the 90% prep? That’s how. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves...Next week I’ll share with you two different approaches which will hopefully simplify things & make it that much easier 🙌. Stay tuned...
