Cross stepping backwards is just as important as cross stepping forward
While you’re still learning the graceful dance that is cross stepping, make sure you practice both stepping forward and stepping backward. Stepping backward is just as important but arguably more difficult (at least in my opinion).
There’s a good chance you’re reading this with the goal of getting to the nose, but I wouldn’t even worry about the nose just yet. 👃❌
Instead, practice taking one step forward, one step back. Do this enough until you’re comfortable with it and then try moving on to two steps forward, two steps back and so on. Doing this until you feel confident with your steps in both directions will give you a solid foundation as you progress. And don’t worry, we’ll be talking about noseriding soon 😉
💬 Which do you find more challenging, cross stepping forward or backwards?
